Exploring the environment through photography

Compact

Entry to Colliers Green Focus Compact 2011-12 is now closed. Applications for 2012-13 will open in September, but in the meantime you can take part in Mobile.

Each year our project photograher and geographer lead a workshop and field-trip in ten schools. They work with the school to make the day's activities inspiring and boost pupils' insight into their local environment. They bring with them a set of regular digital compact cameras for the school to use that day. The photographs produced by pupils are entered into the annual Compact competition and the results are announced at an awards ceremony in London the following autumn. The winner and runners up will receive prizes including photographic equipment.

Colliers Green Focus Compact is open to applications from secondary schools in England, Wales and Scotland which offer Geography at Key Stage 3 and S1-3 (11-14 year olds). Schools in Northern Ireland who wish take part should contact us to register their interest.
